Pedigree profile of Rivendell Shalimar (Sold)
D.O.B 31/12/2007 - Legacy's Agrando x Secret Prospector xx x Mexico II xx
Shalimar was an exquisite foal and has continued to grow up and mature in that way. Shalimar’s sire is the stallion Legacy’s Agrando.
Legacy’s Agrando’s showjumping family is legendary – with international showjumping competitors and Premium awards colouring each avenue of his family tree.
His sire, Lindenberg, is an Oldenberg Elite Sale and S level showjumper, and a full brother to Ludger Beerbaum’s World Games Gold Medallist, as well as the Premium Stallion and Approval winner Libertas, Another full sister is the dam of Premium Stallion Lord Weinland and the Gold Medal winner Landkaiser – confirming the consistently brilliant sire line through generations.
The Paternal Granddam Weingard is also an advanced showjumper, and Grandsire Landadel is Landgraf’s most famous son, and the Sireline of a showjumping dynasty, aside from a major progenitor of movement for dressage.
Agrando’s damline stems from a Champion Oldenburg mare line through multiple generations, and which has consistently produced world class competitors in the International arena, including the World Games Eventing Medallist Ladalco, and the Licenced Stallion and Eventing competitor Zapateado. His Damsire Winterstar was the highest price colt sold at the Hanoverian Elite sale in Verden in the year of his purchase, was subsequently licenced in Germany, and the winner of Championships in the show ring. Winterstar in turn was a half brother to the Olympic Gold Medallist showjumper For Pleasure under the ridership of the great Ludger Beerbaum. The Great For Pleasure was also awarded the prestigious title of Champion Hanoverian Stallion for 2004 and No 1 Showjumping Sire in the World in 2005. This Sireline also carries with it the great Dressage progenitor Woermann – the Sireline which consistently produces power movement, and which is responsible for the Great Weltmeyer. Other world renowned competitors colouring this great bloodline are Grannus and Weinstern.
Overall, Agrando’s pedigree is coloured by bloodlines consistently proven in both the International Showjumping and Dressage Arenas. Agrando himself proved his own quality at the 2006 SASHF Licencing where he was awarded the exceptional result of 85.3% overall and 9.5 / 10 for his showjumping technique by an International Inspectorate.
Agrando, being the epitome of a modern, elegant Sport Horse Stallion, is ideally suited to a heavier-type mare. This combination consistently produces elegant, modern, uphill and well-conformed progeny which talent in both dressage and jumping sports.
Shalimar’s dam was thoriughbred mare who competed successfully up to 1.20m.
