Baldor was the first foal to be produced by the imported Hannoverian mare Carla. His sire Bono van de Kiekenhof is an imported Belgium Warmblood stallion who boasts the folowing showjumping greats in his pedigree: Skippy II and Grannus
Skippy II is a son of the great Galoubet A. Skippy II himself is a successful showjumper and sired several Grand prix participants as well as licensed and approved offspring.
Bono's damsire is the trademark stallion Grannus. This stallion produced an extraordinary amount of top comepetition hosrse as well as breeding horses. His name appears in both dressage and show jumping pedigrees and is associated with strong horses, with good minds and paces, as well as being brave and honest.
Carla is sired by the stallion Concetto Famos, who himself was highly successful in the Grand Prix show jumping scene under Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum. Concetto has sired licensed sons and various state premium mares. His Holsteiner sire Caletto I won team bronze at the 1983 EC in Hickstead. Among his other licensed sons you will find Calvaro Z, cambridge and cantus.
The dam sire of Carla is the thoroughbred stallion Mytens xx, who is becoming ever increasingly popular in sport horse breeding, both in dressage as well as show jumping.
