Pedigree profile of Rivendell Cyclone (Sold)
D.O.B 11/10/2010 - Clinton II (Imp Holst) x Cheif Warden xx x Royal Perogative xx
Cyclone is a very tall, yet strong horse with very good conformation and a very clear mind. With the right rider, I believe that this horse has what it takes physically and mentally to get to the top in the show-jumping classes.
His sire is Clinton II, a textbook example of a Holstein performance stallion. He won team silver at the Asian Games in 2008 with Ariana Azcarraga and many international prizes with Alois Pollmann-Schweckhorst.
In 2005 he was Holstein reserve champion with Thomas Voss.
Although he has only sired a few offspring, they are already showing great promise as competition horses. Sire, Carolus I, was also an international show jumper with 115 of his progeny competing at 1.50 m level. They have accumulated lifetime earnings of more than EUR 1.19 million, proving Clinton II's ability to pass on his excellent qualities to his offspring.
Grandsire Capitol I established his own stallion line and he appears in the pedigrees of countless leading horses.
Maternal grandsire, Calypso II, sire to the fantastic stallion Contender, has also put his stamp on many performance horses. Clinton II descends from the successful Holstein dam line 4965.
His full sister Hirtin was also a successful international competition horse under the name of Chica Bay. She is dam to the licensed stallion Levisto, who is at stud in Zangersheide and whose offspring are always in the prize money in novice horse classes. Other top international horses from this outstanding dam line are Zandor Z/Jos Lansink, Padua/Ralf Schneider and Poor Boy/Beat Mändli.
Cyclone's dam, Chief Empress, is one of a handful of thoroughbred mares in RSA ever to have received premium status with the SAWHS
Topsy has other offspring, who have done very well in the competition arena in various disciplines, but mainly show-jumping and eventing.
Sire Chief warden xx, sired amongst others the horse Rouward ridden by Lisa Williams.
Damsire Royal Prerogative, is an even more well-known thoroughbred sire in competition thoroughbreds. He produced horses with a lot of scope in jumping, but passed on movement as well.
