Nero was the son of a very special mare called Model Star.  Model star came to the stud the previous year to be the surrogate mare to our colt Rivendell Drambuie.  She was already an older, and a very wise and kind mare when she came to us, and then still had Rivendell Habanero.

Nero is by Highflyer, an imported Hanoverian stallion by Hotline.

Hotline was the undisputed champion at his stallion icensing in Verden, and was the firm favorite at the auction.  With his super type and three exceptional paces, as well as a 10 for rideability by the foreign riders, he was a force to be reckoned with.  With his sire Hofrat by Gribaldi, all his pedigree is underlined with top class dressage pedigree.

Highflyer's damline contains Rohdiamant who is by the legendary stallion Rubinstein I.  Rohdiamant himself has been described as a trademark stallion, passing on type, rideability and above all his enormous movement dynamics.
