At Rivendell Stud we have learnt a lot over the years and have been able to set up a facility that is horse friendly and encourages a relaxed and friendly atmosphere for horses and people. 37 extra large stables are split into four separate barns, each with their own staff and facilities. There is a dedicated maternity ward as well as stable block for livery clients.

We have an indoor arena, 75m x 28m, in which we can train horses irrespective of extreme heat and sunshine or rain and cold. It has a fiber footing, which is maintained regularly.

An outdoor dressage arena, 60m x 20m, doubles as a showjumping arena when required.

A free jumping lane that is safe and long enough, surrounded by a large hedge on the outer side is a useful tool in assessing young show jumper’s attitude to jumps.

Many large and grasses paddocks are available to all horses on the property, with stallion paddocks interspersed so as not to isolate them from the rest of the herd.

For assisted reproductive services, we have a phantom for semen collection, a laboratory for fresh and chilled semen analysis, preparation and shipping as well as a state of the art semen freezing facility. Our mares are only bred by Artificial Insemination and we do at least one Embryo Transfer per season.
