Pedigree profile of Rivendell Gepetto
Dynamite comes in small packages!
Gepetto is by the imported Welsh section A stallion Nerwyn Gwyly Banc, and out of Rivendell Carisma, a warmblood pony mare.
Gwyly is a chestnut sabino imported section A Welsh pony stallion, who thinks he is the biggest stallion at the stud. Despite his size he has great presence, and if he was a horse, his movement would be too big to sit on.
Gwyly has been licensed by the SAWHS, where he gained premium status, allowing him to be used on Warmblood approved mares to produce warmblood pony offspring.
He has already produced a few foals at the stud, all of which move very well, are very striking to look at, as well as being easy to work with.
As a welsh stallion he produced many winners in the Welsh classes at horse of the year show in Johannesburg.
Gepetto’s dam is the mare Rivendell Carisma, who is fondly known as Spider on the farm, was born six weeks after her due date and was very small. She has since developed into a lovely pony and moves like a horse.
Her sire, the imported Hanoverian stallion Waikiki of wadacre, was used in the UK as a stallion producing warmblood ponies, which is why we used him in this case, too. His greatsire was the amazing stallion Weltmeyer, who produced many top dressage hores over many years. Waikiki’s sire was one of the highest licensed sons of Weltmeyer. Weltmeyer progeny are known for rideability, paces, big match temperament and good conformation.
Carisma’s dam, Bronwydd bannut Camelia, was a very successful pony in South Africa under a few riders in the showing and dressage ring. She attended the South African championships several times, always bringing home the rosettes for her riders.
Carisma will remain at stud producing warmblood pony offspring for us.
