Rivendell Prime Circle

Pedigree profile of Rivendell Prime Circle

Prime Circle is by the imported Hannoverian stallion Highflyer, who is by the stallion Hotline, who was champion of the Hanoverian stallion licensing in Verden, 2005. With his super type and three exceptional gates, there was no doubt that Hotline was the most wanted stallion at the auction. Undisputed champion at his 70 day test which he finished with 149,28 points in the dressage and 137.34 points overall. The foreign riders confirmed his excellent rideability with the perfect score of 10.0.

His sire Hofrat was Reserve Champion at the Trakehner Approvals in Neumünster 2000 and has since then, been successful in Intermediate I. His grand sire Gribaldi is one of the best stallions in Holland, already producing “Painted Black” ridden by Anky van Grunsven, and Totillas ridden by Edward Gal.

Hotline’s dam lineage has come into the limelight over the last few years due to top performance horses. The dam of the dam’s sire Waleska produced particularly outstanding dressage horses such as “Adios”, “Atachi W” and “Alabaster”, German Young Horse Champion in Warendorf. The thoroughbred Busoni xx is very valuable on the dam’s side; she has produced very good dressage horses, such as Gigolo FRH, who advanced to one of the most successful dressage horses in the world under Isabell Werth.

On Highflyer’s damside, we find the stallion Rohdiamant. Rohdiamant’s highlights include: 1992 – winner of the approval in Oldenburg, 1993 – Bundeschampion and Reserve Champion of the stallion performance test (dressage index 150.00 points), 1994 – winner of the Main Premium in Oldenburg, 1995 – Bundeschampion of 5 year old dressage horses, 1996 – 2002 – Rohdiamant competed to the highest levels of international dressage.

Rohdiamant’s sire, Rubinstein I, has been described as the “Sire of the Century”, who had a dinstinguished career, winning the Oldenburg stallion approval in 1992 and then in 1993, earning the Reserve Champion title of his 100 Day Test with a phenomenal dressage index of 150 points.

On the basis of his numerous licensed sons (42), Champion and Reserve Champion stallions, States Premium and Brilliantring mares, top auction horses and Bundeschampions, Rohdiamant can be designated a trademark stallion. To his offspring he passes on his type, rideability and above all his enormous movement dynamics.

Prime Circle’s dam is the SAW mare ‘Davenport Papillon’ owned by Mrs Karin Blignaut, and we were fortunate to lease her for a breeding season due to an injury. Papillon was produced by Karin and competed up to Prix St Georg level in dressage, highly successfully.

Papillon is by well-known south African bred stallion Peter Pan who was by thoroughbred stallion Pyrmont xx. Pyrmont passed on exceptional movement and rideability as well as a scopey jump, resulting in very athletic horses. It is highly desirable to have good thoroughbred lines in a sporthorse due to these traits.

Papillon is an easy going beautiful mare, who was awarded premium status by the South African Warmblood Horse Society when she was put forward for her inspection.

On the damside of Papillon, we see old SAW breeding going to Namibian lines as well that have stood the test of time in SA and continuously producing sound and sane top competition horses across all disciplines.
