Pedigree profile of Rivendell Cardamon
Cardamon, Damon for short, is by the stallion Centadel, who has in his pedigree the combination of Cento and Landadel giving him the perfect blend of top Holsteiner bloodlines. A modern Cento son with a great future
Already competing on the international circuit, Centadel’s millionaire bloodline impressively combines Olympic gold medal winner Cento’s genes with those of Landadel, a horse whose competition winnings run into seven digits.
Olympic gold medal winner Cento won over one million euro in prize money and Landadel was simply a breeding genius. Centadel’s sire, Cento, is the best Holstein show jumping horse of all time. His impressive track record includes unique sporting achievements such as an Olympic team gold, Aachen and Calgary Grand Prix wins and competition earnings of more than EUR 1 million. Cento is also one of the best breeding stallions of all time. His offspring, 126 of which are 1.50 m level show jumpers, have collectively won over EUR 1.17 million.
Landadel’s offspring have won over EUR 4.7 million and include 72 approved stallions, top horses such as European Champion Lady Weingard, Fein Cera – the best horse at the 2002 World Championship in Jerez – and Landdame, winner of the Hamburg Derby.
Centadel has already demonstrated his outstanding jumping ability by winning novice horse classes up to 1.30 m level and coming third in the Bundeschampionat qualifier in Warendorf. In 2009, he qualified for the World Championship of Young Show Jumping Horses in Lanaken and he was one of the prize winners at the German Young Riders Championship in Aachen with Andreas Kreuzer. In 2010, he continued to add to his list of achievements with Alois Pollmann-Schweckhorst. At this point in time, Centadel, is internationally successful under Florian Meyer zu Hartum at the moment,
There are no limits to his scope, his jumping technique is close to perfect and he’s got a brilliant attitude. Centadel’s pedigree is also strongly performance-oriented in the earlier generations.
Centadel’s performance lineage goes back to top international show jumping stallion Governor and combines the thoroughbred blood of Black Sky xx with the iron-hard genes of Gotthard. The dam’s line is directly descended from the very successful show jumper Governor, who was ridden by Philippe Lejeune and Michael Whitaker.
Great hopes are pinned on his offspring based on their jumping performance. Centadel is in the competition and breeding fast lane. Centadel is a winning stallion in every respect!
Damon’s dam Amy, as she is called with us, competed at top open showjumping level under rider Lisa Williams for many years. Lisa says that she was the most amazing horse she has ever ridden. Owned by laura Kotze, Amy is on loan to Rivendell Stud.
Amy is by the stallion Liquid Asset, by imported stallion Gratuity by Discus. On Liquid Asset’s damside, is by the well-known stallion Gepard. Gepard had a lasting influence on Paul Schockemoehle’s herd of mares, and was a son of the outstanding sire of showjumpers Gotthard. This makes Damon linebred to the great Gotthard a few generations back.
Amy’s dam, a thoroughbred, mare was by the legendary sire Drum Beat who produced many top show-jumpers in RSA.
