Rivendell Brisbane

Dageraad Britta does it again and produces an outstanding foal, and in the form of a plain bay filly, who still makes you look at her due to her presence..
Dageraad Britta has produced the following foals already for us. Rivendell Beatrix Potter, by Highflyer, owned by Liz Parry, is competing successfully in dressage and is destined to make it to GP. Rivendell Burberry, also by Sir Donnerhall, is stunning and of international quality and has been sold. Rivendell Boromir, by Rivendell Beregond, is also owned by Liz Parry, and had quality enough to remain entire, but as a gelding will be a successful dressage horse in his own right. Rivendell Binary, by Rivendell Beregond, owned by Rebecca Tait, Rivendell Stromboli by Sir Donnerhall is developing well and just been backed, as well as Rivendell Dior by Diamonit who is being retained and Rivendell Firemare by Florimon.
When I had the opportunity to ride Rivendell Beatrix Potter, owned by Liz Parry, and who is by our late stallion Highflyer, I decided then and there that I had to make another one. This being Rivendell Brisbane.
Highflyer was by the stallion Blue Hors Hotline, who was the superior winner of his 70-day performance test in Schlieckau with 137.34 points, 10 points more than number two. In dressage, he scored a 10 from both test riders and finished his performance test with a dressage index of 149.28 points!
Subsequently he dominated the young horse championships in Denmark, and continued his excellent level of performance right up to the International Grand Prix level. Hotline’s sire Hofrat was Trakehner Stallion of the Year at the Trakehner licensing in Neumünster in 2000. Dam sire De Niro is one of the most successful sons of Donnerhall, both in sport and in breeding. De Niro himself is a Grand Prix winner and sire of numerous licensed stallions, State Premium mares, auction horses and championship horses.
Blue Hors Hotline has proven his worth in international dressage and as a breeding stallion. In 2016, he had placed at the CDIs in Drachten, Herning, Hagen, Ålborg, as well as a 3rd place with the Danish dressage team at the CDIO in Aachen and part of the winning team at the FEI Nations Cup in Odense 2016. Furthermore, he secured an excellent overall 4th place at the Danish Championship in Broholm.
Hotline offspring continues to produce strong results at competitions home and abroad. In Denmark, the Danish Warmblood Mare of the Year in 2010, Sirikit, and rider Carina Nevermann Torup, are on their way in the Grand Prix, while Heiline’s Hot Mix with rider Carina Cassøe Krüth most recently won the 2015 Bundgaard Byg final. Hotline offspring are excelling in the show ring, also in Germany and The Netherlands, in the small tour and in Grand Prix classes for 8 – 10 year olds horses. There are now over 40 Hotline progeny that have achieved places in S-Dressage.
In 2016 Hotline was named the Danish Warmblood stallion of the year.
Hotline has also sired numerous premium mares, auction foals, auction horses, young horse winners, as well as several approved stallions. His mares are also proving to be very good broodmares, with Hotline now showing up as the dam-sire of many outstanding horses.
In 2018 Hotline achieved the honour of being named 20th on the WBFSH ranking list for Dressage sires worldwide! He is a rare stallion who has not only competed to the top level of sport, but has now proven to be a sire who also throws a very high percentage of upper level performance horses. Soundness, temperament, rideability and talent!! Hotline is truly an exception stallion and sire!
Hotline was a tall very leggy stallion, modern in type, exuding presence and class, being a very elastic mover, with three excellent gaits and a strong hind leg.
Highflyer’s dam sire was the stallion Rohdiamant by Rubinstein.
In 2010, Rohdiamant stood on third place in the WBFSH Ranking of the best sires for rideability – even ahead of his sire, Rubinstein.
Rubinstein’s career was filled with highlights: Winner of his licensing, two-time Bundeschampion, main premium winner and Grand Prix winner under Lisa M. Wilcox/USA. From his more than 50 licensed sons, the most prominent are the Champion Stallions Ron William, Rhodon, Rosenberg and Blue Hors Romanov. The latter, bred by Harli Seifert, received the 2008 VTV-Sport Stallion of the Year award and made a successful debut in World Cup free-styles in 2010. His full brother, Rubin-Royal, who received the 2007 VTV Dressage Stallion of the Year award, also won an Oldenburg main premium, racked up victories in Grand Prix dressage and is also stationed in Lodbergen.
With the look of a champion, radiant type, presence, and movement. Dam Elektia’s pedigree contains a successful Oldenburg line that has a tradition of more than 70 years. Highlights: 1992 – winner of the approval in Oldenburg, 1993 – Bundeschampion and Reserve Champion of the stallion performance test (dressage index 150.00 points), 1994 – winner of the Main Premium in Oldenburg, 1995 – Bundeschampion of 5 year old dressage horses, 1996 – 2002 – active in international dressage sport. Life-time earnings in Germany are presently 70,514 EURO.
On the basis of numerous licensed sons (42), Champion and Reserve Champion stallions, State Premium and Brilliantring mares, top auction horses and Bundeschampions, Rohdiamant can be designated a trademark stallion. To his off-spring he passes on his type, radiance, rideability and above all his enormous movement dynamics.
Brisbane’s dam, Dageraad Britta, is by the Dutch stallion Lingh, who for years was at the top of the WBFSH Index, ranking him the number one dressage stallion and third in the world during his competitive years. Lingh’s performance career is one of the most impressive in dressage breeding history!
Lingh represents some of the finest jumping blood in warmblood breeding and because of his gorgeous type, conformation and fine gaits, he is also a desirable sire as a dressage horse producer.
Lingh, ridden by Edward Gal, was Reserve Champion of Holland, he won the World Cup in Amsterdam and was Reserve Champion at the World Cup Final in Las Vegas, where he was the crowd favourite. He won and placed in several other Grand Prix and World Cup qualifiers. He was also a member of the Dutch team at the European Championship.
Britta’s damsire Osmium won the finals of the stallion competition in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands, 12 points ahead of the second place horse. A the 70-day test at Ermelo in 1999 he was the dressage champion with a score of 8.5%. In 2000 he was the best four-year-old horse of the Netherlands and won the famous “Pavo Cup” with the extremely good score of 9.4%.
Osmium’s pedigree is rich in world class talent. His sire, Olympic Ferro, needs no introduction, and his damsire Calypso II is firmly ensconced in the “legendary” category. The next dam back is by the Thoroughbred, Ladykiller, another breed-shaping stallion. Osmium is a high quality stallion of great natural ability, very good character and beautiful black color.
Olympic Ferro, the Dutch sensation at Aachen, competed at the 2000 Olympics and assisted his team in achieving a team silver medal, with an individual score of 74.92%. As a three-year-old he was champion of his performance test at Ermelo, where he achieved the outstanding results of 6.5–step, 8.5–trot and 8.5 gallop. His sire Ulft, is a son of the great Le Mexico, who is listed 10th on the jumping index with 142 points.
Le Mexico carries Furioso xx blood, which brings value to any pedigree. Ferro’s dam, Brenda, is a daughter of the Holsteiner, Farn, who is listed sixth on the jumping index with 146 points. Farn’s son Nimmerdor, is listed second on the jumping index with 155 points. Olympic Ferro sired the champion of the three-year-old stallions at s’Hertogenbosch in 2000, and has nine young stallions in the second round there in 2001. The champion three year old mare at Ermelo in 2000 was an Olympic Ferro daughter.
Much is expected of this charming, talented black stallion who achieved the title of “Keur” in 2000. He can be relied upon to produce beautiful, typy, talented offspring of the highest quality. Fantastic toplines and an elegant look characterize his get. In addition to their dressage excellence, Olympic Ferro’s offspring also make good jumpers. Olympic Ferro is #1 on the BN World Stallion Rankings for dressage and is the top stallion and pride of the Netherlands, affectionately known as the “Black Pearl.” In 2002 Olympic Ferro once again had the highest scores on the Dutch Olympic team.
