Rivendell Blu

Blu was backed as a three year old and went very well under saddle. Being such a tall gangly youngster with such a promising future ahead of her, it was decided to put her in foal before she starts her competitive career. With her blue-blooded pedigree, especially her sire being the stallion Chacco-Blue, her foals are extremely valuable to the stud.
Chacco Blue presents breeders with an immensely successful jumping star for his young age. After winning the jumping index at the Stallion Performance Test, he has won over thirty show jumping classes judged on style and ability. At the German Young Horse Championships 2003 he was already one of the best; in 2004 he won the final qualification with 9.2. The Championship title within reach, he missed out on winning the overall championship because the wrong fence was jumped in the final jump-off.
Jumping spectacular rounds at the Young Horse World Championships in Lanaken he demonstrated that he is one of the best horses in his age group. Grandsire Cambridge was a son of the popular Caletto I (in those days, a successful championship horse ridden by Michael Rüping) out of “Hilgunde” by thoroughbred Marlon xx and further down in the ancestry; the legendary stallion “Lord”. His strongly modeled dam “Contara” by Contender won many (Grade A) classes and was also successful in World Cup classes. His first foals are captivating types and have loose movement.
The 30-fold winner of young horse classes has continued his career to international Grand Prix level. He descends from the beautiful dam Contara, whose dam Godhara II was successful at 1.50 level. However, he repeatedly demonstrated his outstanding abilities by jumping spectacular rounds at the Young Horse World Championships in Lanaken. Ridden by Alois Pollman-Schweckhorst, he began 2008 in a very promising manner by coming third in the Grand Prix in Neustadt/Dosse, and then won London’s Olympia GP in 2009. His progeny inherit his great willingness to perform and they are highly successful in young horse classes, with Chacco’s Son gaining a premium at 2009 Oldenburg licensing.
His first licensed son, Carlo, recently won young horse classes at the 1.40 level, after showing off his above average scope during the loose jumping at the stallion approvals in Münster-Handorf 2007. Chacco-Fly won Bronze Medal at the Lanaken Young Horse Championships. In 2011 a Chacco Blue colt was reserve champion at the OS licensing (as in 2008). He has 22 approved sons. In 2011 Chacco Blue was ridden by a Young Rider, Andreas Kreuzer. He had international placings in Hamburg, Hagen and Calgary, and then achieved 3rd place in the Grand Prix of Aachen. His sire, Chambertin, now 23rd on WBFSH list of most successful sires, twice won the qualifier for the finals at the German young horse championships and was proclaimed Holsteiner County Champion in 1999. He produces top show jumpers on a continuous basis. Chambertin is by Cambridge, the sire of Catoki. Chacco Blue’s dam’s sire, Contender, once again adds scope and technique to the pedigree, topped off with the thoroughbred Godivari xx. Chacco-Blue: a proven producer regarding technique, scope and intelligence. Elite Stallions comment: Chacco Blue is a seriously powerful horse but proving to throw
blood and modernity. He would work very well on both more modern blood types, and traditional mares, and always adds scope.
Blu’s dam Bijou is by the well-known stallion Balou du Rouet, Oldenburg silver medalist of 2005, one of the best German horses of his age group.
Equipped with maximum elasticity in his gaits, he completed an excellent Stallion Performance Test awarded with the top marks of 9.5 and 10.0 for jumping by the ‘foreign’ judges. He has continued his sporting career in supreme style, winning several classes judged on style and ability up to “M level”. He won the final qualification at the German Young Horse Championships with the top score of 9.2 and in the final was one of the four best approved stallions in Germany.
Sire Baloubet du Rouet, currently one of the most successful jumping stallions on the international stage (individual gold medallist at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, three-times World Cup Champion in a row, winner of many Grand Prix’s), has an exceptional pedigree.
Grand sire Galoubet is son of the great stallion Almé.
On the dam’s side, Balou du Rouet is directly related to the founder of the bloodline “Cor de la Bryere” from Holstein through Rantzau. The similarity can be seen in Balou du Rouet’s jumping style and ability. His stunning dam Georgia is by the increasingly popular Contender son, Continue. Once again, Balou du Rouet emphasises his dominant quality as a producer in type, elegance and movement with numerous foals at many different auctions.
Bijou’s damsire Pikoeur is by the stallion Pilot. Pilot was the youngest showjumper millionaire that has ever existed among Germany’s stallions. By the end of 1999, Pilot progeny had earned a staggering DM 6,250,000.
Pilot’s breeding influence exceeds Westphalian borders. He is represented in almost all German breeds. In 2005, he was honored with a life-size monument in front of the Westphalian horse center in Münster-Handorf.
Pilot has had numerous international Grand Prix winners, in the 1988 Seoul Olympics Pedro with rider Wolfgang Brinkmann was on the gold medal winning German, Pirol / Lesley Mc Naught, P.S. Priamos / Ludger Beerbaum and Dirk Hafemeister, Prinzregent 7 / Norbert Koof and many more.
Pilot continues to have a very strong influence in today sport horse breeding his offspring proven themselves to be amazing jumpers, outstanding dressage horses and talented hunters.
