Rivendell Chantilly Lace

D.O.B  10/09/2025 – Cicero Z Van Paemel x Rivendell Cinzano

Rivendell Chantilly Lace represents an exciting concentration of proven European showjumping blood, combining the influential Carthago Z and Cicero Z sire line with Centadel, Cento and Concetto Famos on the dam side.

Her sire, Cicero Z van Paemel, is a son of the legendary Holsteiner Carthago Z out of Rendez-Vous van Paemel, by Randel Z (Ramiro Z). Cicero Z himself competed internationally at 1.60m level with Dirk Demeersman, while his influence as a sire has become particularly significant. Zangersheide reports that more than 100 of his offspring have competed at 1.50m level and above.

Through Cicero Z, Chantilly Lace carries the blood of Carthago Z, Capitol I, Ramiro Z, Almé Z and Gotthard — names that have had a profound influence on international showjumping breeding.

On the dam side, Chantilly Lace is out of Rivendell Cinzano, by Centadel. Centadel is a son of Olympic champion Dobel’s Cento, with Landadel as his damsire, adding another established performance line to this pedigree.

Who was Centadel?

Centadel was a 2002 bay Oldenburg International (OS) stallion, approximately 172 cm, bred by Gestüt Lewitz. His pedigree is:

Dobel’s Cento (Capitol I × Caletto II) × London (Landadel × Black Sky xx). The FEI confirms Centadel as Cento × London, by Landadel, and records him competing internationally through 1.50 m classes, including the 2012 Sires of the World competition at Lanaken and CSI3* competition at Neumünster in 2013.

His career subsequently progressed further. The FEI record shows international starts at 1.40–1.50 m, while HorseTelex classifies his overall sport level as 1.60 m. He was ridden at different stages by Andreas Kreuzer, Alois Pollmann-Schweckhorst, Bastian Freese and Florian Meyer zu Hartum.

The next generation brings in Concetto Famos, a son of Caletto I. Concetto Famos competed successfully at advanced level with Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum, adding the highly regarded Cor de la Bryère/Caletto influence to the maternal pedigree.
